The Akron Beacon Journal, (September 4, 2004), had some pretty interesting facts in it. Unemployment, nationally,
was 66%. Since President Bush has been in office, roughly 1 million jobs have been lost. Most of them skipped
town to go overseas. It is said that within time (not our time), America will be strictly a white collar nation.
Has anyone realized that if it wasn't for our blue collared workers, America would fall apart? Has anyone ever noticed
the type of commercials that are on the television lately? These commercials are geared towards people that are sitting
pretty well economically, the white collared worker for the most part. There are slim to none commercials for the blue
collared worker that makes an average of $25,000 a year.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of ways that we as Americans can save money. We can help our own economy.
There are two reasons why we can't though. Are you ready for this? We can't because there is always someone
who wants to be more rich and it's because this country is entirely too politically correct.
For one we can save a lot of money if we actually start knocking off people on death row. It costs roughly $40,000
to $50,000 a year to keep one of these inmates alive. Why should our hard earned dollars go to keep someone
like that alive? By cleaning up death row, wouldn't that save the people money? It might also help deter crime
a bit. People would see that the government isn't messing around anymore. Being the people would have more money,
they spend more. Common sense. However, the government would probably just find another way to take it from us
though.
Insurance premiums (for automobiles) are high because of all of the people that don't have insurance. Do you know
what would solve that problem? Instead of just signing and saying that you have insurance when you get your plates,
why don't you show proof? If everyone showed proof that they had insurance when they got their plates, that would force
everyone to get insurance and in turn it would lower the premiums. Making insurance more affordable for everyone.
That would never happen because it's too simple. Insurance companies want that money. The fat guy on top wants
to be richer.
Again just like the TAXES section talks about, if we were to have an excise tax instead of the government taxing
us for everything except air, that would give us more money as well. For more information read the TAXES section.
Professional sports players are paid entirely too much money and always complain that, it isn't enough. They always
want more. Most people would love to live off of at least $50,000.00 a year, but they want millions.
We are constantly giving money to other countries. Do they pay us back? Not a chance. If you have bad
credit and try to get a loan, the bank is going to turn you down. We should do the same thing to other countries.
Sorry China, France, once bitten, twice shy.
